Update

Well, we are glad to report that John's Dr. appointment this morning went very well. He has elected to have his hip replaced and is scheduled for surgery on May 9th. Jeremy will be staying here in town with John and Barb while I fly to Idaho for Granny's funeral. Until then...

First Camping Trip of 2007!!!

We took our very first camping trip this weekend...Lord willing the first of many. We went to Seward. It was wonderful weather...it started to rain just as we had finished packing up to head back to Anchorage, so we were blessed!

The dogs LOVED the ocean... as did we...made us miss living right on the water!!

It is a busy couple of weeks coming up. John and Barb arrive here tomorrow and then Friday I head down to Boise for my grandmother's funeral. But, we're anxious to see the sweetness God will bring from these busy times!!

Appreciation

I am blessed with such a great husband and wonderful friends!! I had a recent family request (on very short notice) to do 500 wedding invitations...yes...500...one half of one thousand!! So, I am here to offer thanks to Kelly, Kendra, and as you can see in this picture, both Jeremy and Geoff!! We worked from 7pm - 11pm last night...still have a lot to do, but we're WAY ahead of where we would be if I had to do it on my own!!

A New Vue!!

The Lord is GOOD!!!

So, Jer has been in need of a more reliable truck for quite some time, and we've been in prayer about God's provision for that. Recently the Lord laid it on Jenn's heart to have a vehicle that would allow easier transportation of her parents during their upcoming stay in Anchorage and more easily accommodate kids, among other things. On leading from the Holy Spirit, she sold us her Nissan truck and bought a Saturn Vue!! So, by the grace of God, everyone's needs are met, and Sandy (yes, that is the Nissan truck's name) stays in the family!! :)

Spring...gettin' there!

We have been asking the Lord for a while now when winter would pass to spring and I am happy to say, the temperature is finally UP, the sun is OUT and WARM and the snow is receding at a very rapid rate!! Jo and Audrey have been able to take many a warm nap on our back porch. This summer, Lord willing we will get our property fenced in so they can have more freedom.

Jer and I have been very busy; a lot is going on, but God is good and his blessings are many! On example: As many of you may know, Jeremy's parents are coming to Anchorage for John's hip replacement and will be living with us during his recovery. All we had in the spare room downstairs was an old futon, which served ok for an overnight guest here and there, but we were in need of a bed that would offer more comfort, especially for John's recovery. Not two days after asking the Lord to provide, someone gave us a Sealy posturpedic king sized bed!! So, we praise and thank Him for his goodness and provision! There are many other things on our plate this summer in which it is evident we must lean on the Lord...we are excited to see what God will accomplish!
